The concept of management from one’s values is so powerful….and so simple. However, I would bet that most managers, myself included, never really think about how values might affect how we manage and supervise. I spent many years in the restaurant industry working as hostess, server, supervisor and manager. The way I supervised and was supervised was from a position of “How do I make the most money for my company?” Your examples of customer service from a position of respect, both for the employees and the customers, were amazing.
